The online tool I want to share with you today is Padlet! I have used padlet in college courses, high school, and even with my own students. There are numerous things you can do with Padlet.
Create an account at padlet.com using Google or email.
Click "Make a Padlet" and choose a layout! After playing around with it myself, I think that Grid or Wall works well for individual video submissions. However, you can really customize it to your liking!
This pertains to me and my own project however, I restricted post type to video only: go to Settings→ Posts → Post Fields → Attachments → Custom → uncheck everything except "Video Recorder."
Add your prompt as the board title or description!
Another personal preference is privacy! To set privacy: under Settings → Privacy, choose password-protected or invite-only so only your class can access it.
You can also share the board with students via link or QR code!
To have students post, they click the "+" button, select the video recorder, record their explanation (up to ~2 minutes on free plan), and post.
Then myself AND students can review submissions on the dashboard!
